Watch Scunthorpe United vs Portsmouth match on for free, this game will play on 05/07/2011, 13:45 CET at Glanford Park, England. Scunthorpe boss Alan Knill could be without striker Chris Dagnall ahead of the home clash with Portsmouth.
The former Rochdale forward picked up a knock to his hip in last week's 5-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest and is unlikely to recover.
He joins Josh Wright (back), Andy Hughes (stomach strain) and Matt Godden (groin) on the treatment table.
Defender Cliff Byrne and midfielder Garry Thompson remain long-term absentees but Knill has no other major concerns.
Knill said: "Cliff has done some light training, but Garry only had his operation the other week.
"It will be a long way back for them both. But now with a month or so off they have the time to get themselves right for the start of next season.''
Dave Kitson is pushing to return for Portsmouth.
The striker has missed the last two matches with a rib injury but is being considered for a place in the squad.
Midfielder Liam Lawrence returned from a leg injury as a substitute during the 1-0 defeat by Norwich on Monday night.
